Durante il concerto, Bono ha annunciato dal palco che la band aveva appena compiuto 29 anni di eta'.
Sembra infatti che il 25-9-1976 i quattro attuali membri degli U2, piu' il fratello di The Edge (Dick Evans) e l'amico Ivan McCormick, si incontrarono per la prima volta nella cucina della casa di Larry Mullen jr e decisero di mettere su una band chiamata Feedback. La circostanza sembra confermata dal giornalista musicale irlandese Neil McCormick, autore di vari libri sulla band, fratello di Ivan e presente anch'egli a quel primo incontro.
